vova 12-31-2001, 07:59 PM I talked the wife into lifting the RR. I'd like to add a 2-3" lift. What are my choises? I was thinking Old Man Emu (sp)? They seem fairly cheap and easy to install :smokin: Anyone runnin one? :usa: road1will 12-31-2001, 09:16 PM yeah, OMEs are good, but they will only net you about a 1.5" lift. they last a long time though. a better choice would be RoverTym's (http://www.RoverTym.com) 2" or 3" lift. with the 3", you run into a lot more $$$ getting castor corrected front suspension links and such. their 2" is also more like 2.5", and with some fender trimming you could run a 33. dont forget to get some longer travel shocks and better shock mounts too- RoverTym makes the best ones of those too. I have them on my rig and i am blowing spring retainers before maxing a 12" shock and RoverTym mount on the rear. Ill see if i can find some pics of me flexing the beast. Rover Addiction 01-10-2002, 09:59 AM RoverTym is by far the best way to go. Their stuff is extremely high quality and support is second to none. Keep in mind that their lift amount is measured as "real lift" with sliders, bumper, winch, etc. already installed. You'll have to ask John and see what exactly he had in/on the rig when measured, but that's the way he did it. But no reason you could not find stock disco rears for free/cheap and put them in front and then get RTE 2in rears or OME HD rears. It will be under $150 and a couple hours in the driveway and you will be set. Cheap bastard lift is what its called. Stock disco rears are almost identical to OME 751 HD fronts. The point is you are about as high as you want to go without worring about a cv front DS. OMEs work great too. Get 762s for the rear. See if they will give you two drivers sides or else they will lean. Rovertym is matched.
