There is a primer color 40 in the Springs that did it. It is sprung over on 60 axles f&r. He had to cut the front housing a bit to get the passenger side spring perch on.
You may have seen it before, it's stretched and has a really strong 383.
He said it was more work than he thought it would be.

I would try to get as wide as possible when I dod the SOA, especially on a heavy wagon like a Pig.

FYI, the easiest way to do it in my minds eye is to outboard your P/S spring when you are reversing the shackles to accomidate the wider perches on the FJ-60.

The main thing that is hard to find on a FJ-60 conversion is spare long side rear axles....keep on the lookout if you do it. The short side stuff is the same as your FJ-55 so they will work for spares.

Do it and post pictures.

Sixgun recently put an fj60 rear in his fj40. He likes the 3" wider rear axle. Said it made a big difference in stability and articulation. He should jump in here pretty soon or you could do a search for his post on his swap.

Nanuk and wngrog are right about either having to outboard your front springs or cutting into the front housing. The rear is alot easier.

thanks for all the help so far... Ive been searching around as well and am wondering, it seems like everyone is SOA already when they swap the axels. I am not SOA a this point... is the swap not a good time to do this as well? Also, with the disks up front and the 60 drums should I look at new break cylinders all around?
thanks again.

I did this swap on my Fj40. For the front I put the perch basically on the pumpkin. Its hard to explain what I did but I will try to post some pics. For the rear dont even worry about breaking the long side axle shaft. Aint gonna happen
