I recently bought an electric fuel pump for my F motor from TPI and mounted it next to the battery just inside the frame. During very slow speed four wheeling, I can occasionally hear the pump draw air. It's also very bad for about 30 seconds after a short stop with the engine off. I live in Yuma, so it's over 100 degrees outside when this happens. I guessing I'm butting up against the effects of vapor lock. Would a solution be to add a dual-output fuel filter just prior to the pump and run the top outlet back into the tank?

You probably need to remountit on the frame under the pasenger side door, where you have it mounted now it is to far away from the gas tank to have enough pressure to pull fuel.

Well, in that case, it's probably worse than you think. My Cruiser has a rear tank also. The tanks are plumbed such that the selector valve is towards the rear of the vehicle. The front tank's fuel actually travels rearward, through the valve, first. Thanks for the tip...
