We finished up 2001 with a bang. This was by far the best trail we ran yesterday (the others weren't too shabby either). Pics are up from all 3 trails on my site, here's some cool ones from Annihilator.

Coming up the chute.

Attaching the strap just in case my front end came up.

Brian starting the climb.

Brian coming over the top ledge, he slid off the line and was teetering.

Erik approaching the last ledge.

This shot gives you an idea how tall some of this stuff was.

The last part of the trail is a nonstop flexfest.

I just got done with our groups informal newyears run...

Spent 7 hours out in 20 degree weather, each rig got strapped / winched at least 3 times... It got dark, it got colder, and we got stucker. Lockers, swampers and winches only get ya so far.

Buried my rig to the frame twice, stalled the winch twice.

My 4runner is outside right now with an inch of mud frozen on the winshield, and it will be two days before it thaws. This is one of those days where I ask why I want to build an off-road rig... I just got really discouraged.

Then I come home and see this post, and I have my answer.

Thanks buddy.

Now I'm not asking why I need to build a wheeler. I'm wondering why I don't pack up and move out west...

Shut up.

I think I'll go clean the mud off my truck. Now, where's that ice-pick again?
