Well the Yukon 4:57 r/p are in,and I just test drove it and what a diff I put it into 2 low with the added 4:16 t-case gears HOLLY SHI!!!!,it's totally low. I no I dont wheel in some of the extreme places that some of you guys do but this is awsome. Now I only have to figure out how to put the recommended 500 miles on them for the break in, goona be tough on an unregistered trailer queen!!:D :D :D :D

Jack the rear axle off the ground, and run it in a high gear at idle for 20 minutes... been done before. Then change the gear oil.

Pull rear driveshaft and repeat in 4-hi for the front axle. This assumes you REALLY want to break them in... lotsa people don't seem to know you're supposed to do this, and don't have a problem. Or you could just go run an easy trail...

Thanx I thought about doing that but was unsure if that would
work correctly seeing how there is no real load other than the weight of the tire's but i guess i really dont have any other choice would rather do it right the first time cause the 2nd time only cost's more money

why not just put axle stands under all 4 cornners and put it in 4high then let it idal for some time........ just don't get under it when all 4 tires are off......

Proper break-in of the gears requires more heat buildup than you can get just idling.

Its probably best just to take the thing out on the highway for 15 minutes as recommended by the manufacturer. Then let it cool down.

Your right no tags allthough I have snuck it down the street a few times. I think I might have a buddy of mine follow me down the local tollway to get my first 20 miles on them then the next day do the jack thing front and rear to put some additional time on them

I have tags but no windshield or mirrors, I drove my through town the other day so I could get to Mcdonalds. It was sweet.:)
Little cold though.
