See everyones using jeep stuff just wondering if anyone tried the toy rear springs in the front of a sami?Did it on my 4 runner had to add 3 more leafs and it was real flexy used the full travel of my 9012's no problem and they were tilted back. I believe 86 up were 47" long with the pin offset way forward. Moves the front axle on a toy 2" forward. I moved the front hanger 1" forward and had decent aprouch(sp) angles with 36" sx's.

Pook do you have the front springs to go with those rear springs? If so I have the info around here somewhere on mixing them to build about a 5 inch lift pack for a toy. So compare that to the lift you get from a yj on a toy and there will be your lift amount. And as you know they flex like mad on a toy.

Sorry can't find the info now, I must have lost it when I loaded my new OS and its not in the archives anymore. Seems to me for a toy lift it was top 2 from rear (main and one below it) and three bottom from the front. Combine this with a 2 longer shackle. I was told this gives about 5 inches to a toy truck. I made the shackles up but then my buddy needed the rear springs so I lost out. The guy that told me about it used rears from an 83, apparently they have more free arch than an 84. The rear springs were the same length up to 88 but went longer in 89. This spring set up is supposed to be quite soft for a toy but it might be just right for a Suzuki, but only if you had them lying around.

Being a toyota guy, I'm all too familair with rear springs up front, and being a zuki guy as well, guess what, we tried rear toyota in the rear of a samurai, it was almost too soft, but the flex with a 35* shackle angle maxed out layed over 9012's, never got it on a ramp yet, but I know it will out flex wranglers by at least 6 inch's..

thats why I asked my 6 leaf pack I made using two sets of rears flexed like crazy in the front of my toy so i was debating running it again or doing coils in my sami.
