Its finally time to get a wench for my EB. I have always had a hard time with cooling the 351w. My question is this, Will the 8274-50 cause problems with cooling. The sheer size seems like it would have adverse affect on air flow.

Do any other EB owners run the 8274-50 without cooling problems?

My second choice will be the HS9500i, but I really like the 8274-50.

Congratulations on deciding to get a wench for your EB. I recomend a blonde one. ;)

If you decide to get a winch for your truck some day, I would recomend either of the two winches you suggested. Most people don't have cooling problems with the 8274 unless they were already having them to begin with, or were too close to the temp level before-hand. The 8274 is a pig. If you are worried about it, though, you probably can't go wrong with the HS9500 either, though.
