I put new ball joints in my 44 the other day and noticed that they gave me new seats for the top two joints. i put the new ones into the axle C but noticed that they do not bottom out. I could see this a s being a mild caster adjustment of sorts? I dunno, when i turn the knuckle the top ball joint seats move too. The only thing stopping them is the cotter pins. Where did i go wrong, or what can i do to tighten it up.
No luck on the search so now i hand it over to you guys,HELP!

Those are how you set the pre-load on your ball joints. It requires a special tool and there is a sequence to tightning the bottom joint then torquing the new taper in the top then tightning the joints the rest of the way. I am sure there is something in the tech section on it. If you get them wrong they will wear out very quickly. Do a search in the tech section for your info.

Check the pdf section on my page for the Moog or Federal Mogul article on proper installation. Requires a litle "spanner" tool from NAPA or elsewhere. As said - it sets preload and proper sequence / torque is critical:
