hydraulic clutch!!!

Seems simple enough. Master cylinder and slave cylinder.
So why can't I get it to work?
First we changed the slave because it was the easiest and cheapest. Couldn't get any pressure at all. Decided we probably guessed wrong the first time and swapped out the master. Still no pressure and we can't get any air out at all.
This is the first time I've ever messed with a hydraulic clutch. I followed the instructions.
Any tips or tricks?

Thanks

Gravity bleed it first then bleed like normal brakes.Res empties quickly so leave the rubber out at first so it will hold more fluid.First couple times you may need to pull the pedal back till it gets a little pressure.

if there a crack in the line? or is the rubber part of the line so weak that its flexing and not letting the pressure get to the slave?

Did that. No pedal feel. No fork movement. I get lots of fluid out of slave.

Thought maybe we got a bad slave or damaged it trying to bleed it. Took it back out and traded for another new one. Put on new hose. Same thing. No pedal feel. No fork movement. I get lots of fluid out of slave. No air.

Don't wanna buy a new one. Maybe I can borrow or rent one.

May be a dumb question, but - Is the push rod from the slave actually making contact with the fork? My fork will slip down far enough for the rod to miss it when removing/reinstalling the slave and thus it feels like the clutch "ain't doin nuthin".

i had this problem before ,what i did before i got totally pissed was removed the slave and let it hang with the bleeder at the higest point ..then fully compressed the rod and held it there with a strap ..after that some of the air released and it started to bleed out ...i couldnt think of anythign else to try and was ready to kill someone ..
