What is this? A banner ad for EarthShare who sleeps with Sierra Club. They have links to many eco-nazi pages on their website and I am just flabbergasted to have found this as a banner ad on the Pirate BBS.

I can understand the reason for the banner ads, pays the bills and the fact that you want everyone to pay 20 bucks to "not see the ads", I'm sorry but I'll be damned if I'm going to give 2cents to anyone who displays pro Sierra Club information on their website.

If that wasn't enough I get this banner after I post!

I don't pick what banners run on this site. An AD AGENCY does. I will work on getting them removed, but it is extremely difficult, and takes me time.

Funny- I don't get pop-up banners.

Hopefully, there is a Blue Ribbon Coalition banner, with ARCA, CA4WDC pop ups, over on the Sierra Club web site.

HOWEVER the point isn't about 20 bucks or a star it's about PRO-GREENIE on this website. Just doesn't sound good. Sortof like piss in your cheerios.

I understand your point, and I agree with you. But until this board is self supported by it's members (yeah- the Red Star's) Lance must look to Ad agencies for funding. And, as he stated in his reply to your post, he doesn't control the ad content. I'm sure he'll try to get these ads removed but he may be locked in.

If we all pony-ed up $20.00, the banner ads would go away.

Me neither, but then again there is a ton of crap on the banners I hate. That damn little camera for one, I swear I must have seen that 100 times in the past few days alone. :mad: But what can you do when someone else picks what is on there? This is a good point I did not really think about at first I was just anoyed the earth share stuff was on here. I now understand that Lance does not pick what adds run...Now I think that he should not try to get it removed cause its just a waste of money for earth share to advertise on here.

I don't think we should ignore the grenie adds at all.

On the contrary all 9000 odd of us should repeatedly and continually click on them so that through some convoluted way, the greenies finance our hardcore wheeling board.
