Hello All..

I was looking at buying a '99 2-Door Tahoe the other day but when I took it for a drive the steering did not feel right. Seemed pretty flakey, wanted to wander all over road and when I made small corrections you could really feel it...

Truck has 6" lift on Procomp MT tires.. I did some looking underneath and everything seems tight.. Did notice the shock mounts have been re-welded (Splatter everywhere) - Not sure if this was needed because of the lift or possible fix for something broken...

Truck is at a dlearship so if whatever is wrong is not too bad maybe I can fix it and get them to come down on price..

Could just be an alighment too though right???

I'm just looking for ideas on what it could be.. Any common probs with the lift kits on these Tahoes??

Thanks alll

Sounds like something is loose in the steering. It could be because of all that weight on the IFS has wore something out. I would give it a good going over before I bought it.
