When I see this, and see very LITTLE rear flex, if any at all, why would I bother to click to see more?

I apologize for saying useless. Yeah, there is some flex in the rear, but certainly not balance, by the 2 photos I see.

Atleast his pile can move under it's own power.

Looking at those springs, the poor things don't look like they could lift a tire it they had to. They look like slinkys next the the side o beef at each corner

Boy you are out there

First of all - balanced flex is not always "best"... Been there, discussed that.

Secondly, if you stop and look you will see this is a work in progress, and as such it has NO weight on the rear where I am sure tools, spares, cage, etc will all reside... and will therefore change how the rear flexes under weight...

Oh MY, DRM! THANK GOD YOU SAVED ME! I almost enjoyed posting on P4x4.com for a moment there

Why in the hell do you have to be so damn logical? Can't you see I'm try'n to make myself feel better for not even having a 4x that can move under it's own power?!?!?:flipoff2:

Umm... yes, there's relatively little rear flex in the rear, when there's no weight on it (always) and weight transferred off of it (backing up a ramp). Only about 18" when it's up the ramp backwards, vs. 24" when it's up forwards. 'Bout the same happens to the front; it looks wicked when it's on the downhill end of the truck, and lame when it's uphill. That's the nature of the beast.

And it's far from done... just figured somebody might like to see what's been running around the shop lately.

And yes, Vova, that front axle is a D44. At least till I can afford a D60. Which might be a while; good thing it's light and gerbil-powered.
