hay guys and gals


i got a 1981 cj 5 with the old iron duke motor in it (4 banger) dont know that the tranny is but i have a dana 300 t-case want to put a bigger motor in it what kinda motor will bolt up to it with out haveint to buy a A.A. bell housing. will the 4.3 v6 bolt up :question: :question: any how thanks hope you can help me out and any one know what tranny i mite have thanks

I don't have the time or energy to go through this, but you might find a bolt on engine, but there is no way the tranny will hold up to anything larger then a 60 hp 4 cly. Get a Chevy 350 or a 4.3l and a sm465 or sm420 tranny and adapt it to the d300. Just my $.02. Oh yeh, check the archives newbie :flipoff2:. You might not find a ton of info directly related to your swap, but there is enough motor swap info in there to keep you reading for days.
