I searched but didn't find anything obvious so please be kind.

I am buying an 88 3/4 ton Suburban 4x4 that needs tires. Some of the cheap used tire wheel combos I have come across are from 2000+ GM 2500HD trucks. Sound OK? Bad idea? I don't think I've ever seen an older Blazer/Suburban with post 92 wheels so I am doubtful - but cheap is good enough to look into.

I've seen numerous 80's trucks with those late model rims on them around my area. I think they look fine.
