Anything owned by Ted Turner:
http://www.crowley-offroad.com/turner_foundation.htm

Obviously, any of these green organizations:
American Land Institute
League of Conservation Voters
Citizen Action National
Audubon Society
Conservation Fund
Nature Conservancy
Defenders of Wildlife
National Environmental Trust
Earth First
Natural Resources Defense Council
Earth Island Institute
National Wildlife Federation
Environmental Defense
Sierra Club
Environmental Working Group
U.S. Public Interest Research Group
Friends of the Earth
Worldwide Watch Institute
Greenpeace, USA
World Wildlife Fund
Center for Biological Diversity

It is hard to list all companies because many of them donate to green causes. Are you going to exclude Texaco because they donated $10K to the Nature Conservancy in 1997? Or how about Anheuser-Busch who donated $200K to them in 1997? YellowSub listed Ford & GM, but did you know that Chysler donates $25K every year to the Nature Conservancy?

Take the money, and then add a line note under the banner reporting how much the organization gave to one of our "friends of the environment."

This way you gain the revenue and send a message that the website membership can decide for themselves what is important.

Give me a reason why you cannot take the banner add money?

I was hesitant on ford and chevy for that reason too....

I don't think Lance can "place a seperate" notation on only certain banners...I think they just come in a "lump package" from the ad company. I think he's looking to give them a list of all the ones he doesn't want included in the "lump" he gets each month and won't put up... He will still get the same amount of money for "x" amount of ads, but they green ones will be replaced with "non" green ads....

I may be way off here, but I'm pretty sure thats how it works...

After some thought, i beleive Ed is right. Lance doesnt need to put a line under them though because my money is on the fact that most people on here dont even look at them. And if we take their money it keeps their ad from being somewhere that someone might actually look at it.
