I'm selling the motor/tranny/case out of my '88 XJ.
You're welcome to come check it out before you buy it. You will need to pull it if you want it. I'm not able to ship it.
The motor is the fuel injected I6 4.0, manual tranny. The tranny needs a clutch, and probably all the seals/gaskets changed. The motor has about 130k on it right now. It's got AC and all other accessories you want to take w/ you.
It runs, and sounds good, but it's pretty leaky. Definitely needs freshening up -- tune up, new fluid, seals, etc.
$350 CASH for the motor, tranny & case. I have a clutch kit for it if you want that, for an extra $100. Clutch is new in the box, never installed.
I am located about 25 minutes from I-95 in Eastern NC, about 1/2 hour from Raleigh.
