No, you can't do that. Without reverse-rotation muffler bearings, there's no way you're going to fit that. Stupid.

hmm how the hell DID i start this blank thread?!?!
anyway i was wonderin about how much wider a chevy front D44 is compared to the toy front. my buddy is doin a SAS and was wonderin if it would be goofy to put a full width front with his v6 rear. i think its too wide but hey i also start blank topics:flipoff2:

I'm running a fullwidth front and a IFS rear doesn't look to bad but I'm getting spacers for the rear anyway.

Chevy 1/2Ton D44 is 67.5" wmf to wmf. Chevy 3/4T D44 is 69.5" wmf to wmf but the axles are the same inner and outer with 297X joints.

Toyota front is about 55" wide wmf to wmf.

It'll look like an angry crab if you run the IFS rear axle (about 58" wide wmf to wmf). Even cutting about 2.5" off the half ton Chevy 44 made mine look that way with the IFS rear axle. That's the main reason I swapped to the fullwidth D44 rear (well, that and the gear ratio match).

Sean

try getting a hold of a tacoma rear end I think they are like 62" width. Thats a little wider than the v6 rear housing. I had one sitting under my truck for a while with a full width front and it did not look that bad.
