Another weekend at the Hammers and NO breakage. I ran Jack Hammer Monday night starting about 9pm and Wrecking Ball on tuesday. I even ran DOWN Claw Hammer. I Don't know:eek: they seem to be pretty strong:skull:

Having never wheeled out west, I know that the trails you mention are hard. VERY hard

But I've never run it myself, so I have to ask: Are you certain (As certain as you can be, since birfs are goofy about when they break) that you would have blown a stock Birf by now?

I saw a Newfield that lasted after the inner race broke and was discovered during maintenance. Have you torn down your axle to see if the "Super Birfs" still have the correct number of pieces? (although that would be a PITA :D )

Just wonderin', I hope these are as good as they seem...........:)

I agree with the thought of would a stocker FOR SURE break here rutine. hell I popped one the other day on pavement getting ready to climb a snow hill but then I've wedged myself into a hole and no problems. Go figure.

I still say the fastest way to break a b-field is air down your tires, lock your hubs, turn the wheel, and gas it in your driveway. Pavement is sticky as hell. Almost stickier then moab.

Hey desertoy, that's rad that they've lasted:roxy: Since I don't exactly know everyone on this board and their rigs, could you please let me in on what you're runnin with...tire size, locked?, engine size? Also, how hard were you driving it?

Thanks for the update. I'm sure these will hold up to my abuse, but may as well check. BTW, "my abuse" consists of 35's, locked f&r, 3.0 v6. The 'con will probably be the toughest trail this rig will see (at least until I can make it a trailer Queen in about 15 more years!).

Brandon

Perhaps he should run a stock birfield in one knuckle and "unbreakable birfield" in the other.

Then, each time he breaks a stock one, replace it with another stock one. When the "unbreakable birfield" goes, end the experiment.

Then compare how many stock birfields broke with the "unbreakable birfield".

I would think if you broke 3-4 stock birfields before the "unbreakable birfield", then it has proven itself.

Dsertoy shouldn't have to do this, but the company surely can. If the company does it, then it should be a blind study. Don't tell the driver which side has the "unbreakable birfield" so he doesn't favor that side.

There's absolutely no comparison between a stock birfield and the super birfield! they shouldnt even be on the same planet together!! For the few of you that have had them for a while already know this and can back me up on it!

Hey Leonel,

I called yesterday. I think he has some in stock right now.

I am going to jump on the bandwagon and get some. I hope they are what they are cracked up to be.

Yeah, but what does that prove?? Anything CAN be broken if you try hard enough.

Being on the East coast and only running 33's (probably 35's at some point) I may never need a Birf BUT if I do you will certainly get the call. I've been following these threads and it seems so far that you have found the secret to making a Birfield all it can be. I imagine you will do quite well.:smokin:

from what i have seen it is my believe that the super birf IS stronger than the 30 spline toyota axles. my bet says that you will fail a axle before you fail a super birf.

so sky get your self some super birfs, run your 40" hawgs and go have a heart attack :flipoff2:

Superbirfields are for solid axle equipped toys.....they won't work on your rig. :flipoff2:

I got some for the cruiser and they're going in now.
Bobby sent me a video of the tests performed on the super birf.
In 3 tests the axle broke every time.
