I hang out over on the 'yota board a bunch trying to learn tricks for my 85 4Runner, and I never see any mention of anyone using Downeys' stuff. Do they suck or are they just not very well known?

I personally think they are a little overpriced, and besides, most of what they offer, I fabricate myself and everyone else in the Toy forum probably does too. Aside from springs and headers and stuff like that.
I like Allpros stuff alot.

Ok, so other than being overpriced, is the quality any good?

If what you want is a prerunner Downey is all right and they told me they do not warrenty slow rock crawlers because they have stress tested for going fast and jumping :flipoff2:
If you want a rock crawler go to Allpro Offroad and you will be happier in the end.
