I want to use a bedliner to replace all the old carpet in my 1980 K5 Blazer because it has gotten moldy and muddy over the years. I was wondering if anyone had delt with the do-it-yourself kits and which ones are worth a crap or not. If any of you have any experience with this any advice would be appreciated

I used Herculiner in the tub of my Samurai. It worked out pretty well. The prep took a very long time, though, so don't plan on getting it done in a hurry. If you take your time, it really turns out good. But make sure to keep it stirred well. My buddy did the bed of his truck, and it turned out like sh*t because he didn't keep it stirred well. The Sammy looks good, though.
Make sure you take the prep tape off before it dries, though, or it will never come off. Learn from my mistake. I left it on, and it just tears the Herculiner or the tape tears. You can kinda get it off with a razor, but a PITA!
Just be sure to take your time, do some good prep/masking, and KEEP IT STIRRED! Like I said, it takes a while (mine took about 20 hours with all the prep, applying, and removing tape), but it worth it. Just watch out, it's a dust magnet! Mine brown now, but I haven't cleaned it, ummm, ever. :D Good luck. ~Steve

hurk it! mine's been done over 3 years with no lifting. It is kinda dull flat black now and I never get all the dirt out of the texture, but it works and it's cheap! It also comes in Red and Grey now.
