Anybody know of a company that will modify heavy automatic transmissions to work behind bombed diesels? Like the DTT or ATS of the big truck world? Speifically looking at an Allison MD3060 behind an 8.3 Cummins...

They have a full range of transmissions, why not get one up to the task. They also have a rebuild program.

How bombed? The 3060's come in at around 985/330 max depending on use, but if the powertrain was in a light vehicle like a 1 ton I wouldn't be to worried about it as long as it was kept well cooled.

Not too sure how bombed it will be. This is for a buddy of mine, not me. All he's said for sure is twin turbos, so I'm guessing 700 hp / 1600 ft-lbs minimum.
