Anyone here ever do a SOA on a front Currie Ford 9 Housing?
Currie is telling me that putting any heat to the passenger side housing will melt out the epoxy that holds in the race for the seal, and that they won't touch it...
I'm thinking, well I've got nothing to loose then in trying it. But I am thinking that someone here has had to have done this....??
ya.... I am a newbie to this board...:D :D

im not sure if the Currie F9 is basically the same as the one made by Tom Ellison of Sunray Engineering, but if it is then i dont see why it cant be done. I have seen a few of his F9" axles in SOA. Maybe he put the spring perches on before installing whatever holds in the inner race.
is there any way to get the epoxy out and then replace it when you are done? Could you possibly put a wet rag inside there to keep the heat down a lil inside the tube?

Sounds pretty much like Currie...the expoy goes in after they are done.. I really don't see why I can't either just replace it or do something along the lines of keeping it cool...

A good buddy of mine is doing a SOA with a Currie 9" hp
front end. The housing was done by Currie, looks sweet:smokin:
