Hi guys I need some pics of some full size diffs (at full width). I am sticking full size D44 and D60 under the JEEP this week and wanted to know how much wider it is going to be. I am trying to make them as narrow as possible. I would like to find rims with 5-6" of back spacing. A little hard to find though! Thanks, Jay

Thanks man, I guess you are running 38x14.5 eh!. Just asking because if so I will stick out even wider than that running 16" wide Boggers. Ooch! I have to get them in somehow!

There is a Beadlock thread in the General Forum with all kinds of links to custom wheels/beadlocks. I'm going to be running a D60/14b with about 4-5" of bs so I can still fit on my 83" wide trailer.

This is a full width Chevy 60 front (69") with stock Hummer wheels (about 7" of BS) and 1" spacers (not needed entirely, I already had them from the previous D44).

Side view. Rear is a 67" 14 bolt. No spacers.

Hey Bushwhacker do you think it would be much trouble to post the link to the thread I am having a hard time finding it! I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Jay

Charly, that is a wicked set up man. That is the width that I am looking for. The only thing is that my tires are wider than yours, I think your running 38x14.5 no? I am going to be running 16" wide Boggers. Well I guess know I have to find some rims with 7" backspacing. Did you have to have your drums machined down for the rims to fit or did you use calipers. I don't think I will be able to fit 7" backspacing with the Ford two piston calipers and the drum brakes that are on the rear D60. Thanks for any help you have to offer, Jay

Please keep it coming!

Those are 39.5 x 15 x 16.5s.

I use discs on the rear (14 bolt) but I know stock Hummer wheels fit on 14Bolts with drums and I'd imagine they fit on D60 drums too.

and BTT, as i'm interested in the same thing :D

I would like to run a 60 front, and hummer rims to bring the width in a bit.. but I'm afraid my hubs will stick out too far and be smashed to bits.

how far from the WMS do the hubs stick out?

with stock hummer rims and tires (36x12.50x16.5) and my 1.5" spacers, my hubs are covered up; don't stick out at all.

I have a 78 chevy 3/4 ton d44 front.

60s have longer hubs than 44s.

Here are mine currently...Tera Low D60 hubs, Stock Hummer wheels, 39.5 x 15 x 16.5 TSLs and 1" spacers.

Stock width.. IIRC 69"

Stock width Dana 70 rear from '79 ford single wheel pickup. It is narrower than the front by about 2 inches each side.

Wow that's wide at the front dude! I hope I get mine a little narrower than that. We have a lot of narrow trails up here on the Canadian shield. You have to go through the trees and mud to get to the rocks. Thanks for the pic, nice rig by the way!

Here are some pics on my webshots page of how I think it will look with a 4" backspacing rim. It's just a mock up with 35x16 Bogger.

Charly

WB is at 104.5"

Waggy fronts, F150 rears.

If I was to do it again I'd probably use Dakota rears, same WB with less departure.
