I live out in the country on my grandma's place. Two homes and she is 92. We get a lot of dumped animals here. Just got a dumped 1-2 year old female American Pit Bull Terrier. She is a very nice, mild tempered pup. I have not had her but 2 days and she already just about wets herself when I come out the door. Very loveing and I haven't yet seen a mean bone in her body. I cannot keep her because my parents do not want her on this piece of property. I would be willing to drive a fair way to make sure she gets a good home. She will be put down in a few days or week or so if I cannot find a home. Ask a friend if they can keep her. Thanks, Michael. 559-250-1204.

edit: i cut and pasted this from your post in chit-chat.

i'm kinda interested in the pup.

my family had to put down our dog jan 7th...kidney failure, she would of be 14 on feb 14th(yep, valintines day). i took the day off from work and spent the whole day petting her even while the vet came and gave her the shot.
we haven't really brought up getting another dog and it would be hard for me to do so...it's still a soft topic(atleast for me). a part of me wants another dog and another part of me don't...i don't know how my parents feel.

i'm also going to be moving up to sacramento in the fall, roughly 6-7 months, to go to csus(sac state). i really don't want to leave the responcibility of taking care of this dog on my parents.
i don't know where i will end up staying when i move...dorms, appartment, or house. where ever i stay i doubt they will let me have an animal or if i will be able to give it proper care and exercise.

how dose this dog interact with cats; my parents have 2.
how big is this dog...to me a terrier is a small dog roughly 10-15 lbs. a buddy had a pit that was 70-80 lbs solid muscle and his niece used to ride it like a horse. he had to put it down after it attacked his mom's lamma for the second time...it might of wanted to play and it played to rough.

the decision to get another dog isn't mine...it's also my parents since i live with them. i live in the san luis obispo area.

if someone else steps up first give the pup to them...don't like to see any dog put down.

I am not sure how this pup interacts with other dogs. Don't have another dog so I don't have the opportunity to find out either. My mom has 3 cats. I haven't yet seen any of them walk under this dogs nose, but they have been visible to the dog a number of times and have not been eaten or chased yet. Not to say it will not happen. Thanks for checking with your parents.

Keepin this at the top, and hoping the pup finds a good home.

I'd take her, but I've already got one dog that's more than I can handle half the time!

just because of my big heart I would love to take her but I live all the way on the east coast. I hope she does not have to get put down. Maybe you should try to get some pictures up so someone close can fall in love ;)

Before you put the pup down, any chance you can contact one of the rescue organizations listed here?

reedley is near fresno...that's where i picture it at least. i think it's a little north of fresno, not positive.
you could try looking at a map...i would be glad to do it for you but i'm taking a 5min break from studying before i hit the books again.

glad some other people are interested in the pup.

my family will get a pup when the time is right...probably go to the pound and rescue one off death-row.

did you find a home for this gal?

Yes. I got her spayed, immunized and sent her to a friend who has about 300 acres up outside of Covalo california. She will be well taken care of. Cost me $119 but well worth it.
