What years did Ford use HP D-44's? I need the HP pumpkin and found a few at www.car-parts.com but I do not know which years besides 79 came with the HP setup. Thanks....

My hp 44 is from 1972, and I've heard of them back to 1969.

Before anyone gets their panties in a knot, I've confirmed it with BOM numbers, and, it's fawkin' stamped on the housing!

Make sure you get one with welded on c-bushing mounts, and not cast as part of the inner knuckles.

Get one from a 77.5-79 3/4 ton and it will have spring pads not c-bushing stuff.
