I need to build one from scratch, but have no clue about a good tranny shop. I will travel to get one done, I just want to make sure it is a good job.

Dima - There's a big tranny shop on Bryant between 3rd and 4th (?) that works with lot of trucks. They rebuilt the tranny in my tow rig and did a great job (C6). Reasonably priced, come with a warranty and I liked working with them.

TTT, Thanks Paul, I used them before, but each time seems to get worse over there. Glad to hear you had a good job done. I do not want this built to stock specs, so I need someone that really knows their poop. I am building this truck in Corncord, so the east bay would work

Shucks Tranny in Dublin, is where my Family has been going for about 10 years now
IMO the do the best work of any tranny shop (when i was wrenching and we farmed out tranny work)
I don;t know about custom stuff but they have put Kevler clutches and stuff in my friends tranny before, so it nerver hurts to get an est.
