Alright, I have been reading searches for a while now, before I go crosseyed Im just gonna ask...
Can I use 44044s with stock steering...I just cant afford hysteer right now but I want some flexy front springs...
So, seeing as how I know that 44044s move your axle forwayd about 2 inches, will that be ok with stock steering?
If not is there any way to modify it so it will work?
Thank you:)

Good question TyTy. I have gone cross eyed and wanted to scream with all the sheit i have read on what front springs to go with. I have come to the conclusion that it all depends on the individuals needs. There are a lot of different combinations to go with.
But your right, no one really has said how far you can go and not get a hy-steer/x-over right away.

Well I'm not sure how the 44044's compare to the wranglers. But I have 4" skyjacker YJ springs on the front of mine and all I needed was a drop draglink. It works fine for now but it could use cross over for sure. But if your on a tight budget just get a drop draglink and try it. :D

There is only a couple of things that will have to be adressed before you could put them on.
1. Jarm ball needs to be fliped to the top of arm. The 44044 pack is so thick it will not fit between the axle and arm.
2. Carry spares. The flex will take a big toll on the Jarm. It may take a little bit but it will brake. You don't want to be stuck without a spare (have been there).
3. I dont' think that they moved the axle that much forward maybe an inch. You may have to cut you drag link down and retap to shorten it up that much.
4. If they do move your axle foward to far you can drill your purch and move the axle back. I would find away to make it work.
If you take care of that it will work for awile. Now you flex maybe less because of the stock steering but you will have to live with that untill you change over.
Good luck
Steve
overeasy: that is about what I was thinking. Im not gonna need a lengthened steering arm though cause I already run with a lift, just one that does not flex...
I might have to shorten my steering arm if it moves the axle forward to much. Im just gonna go ahead ad get them and make them work, then later on Im gonna get hysteer and move my axle forward total of maybe 3 inches and run a square driveshaft...
Thanks for the help.

TyTy-

I think redrilling the perches would get you straight anyway:
Say the 44044s moved the front axle forward 1"
And your steering won't fit (probably will - this assumes it won't)
So you measure your shiznit, and find out the axle is ~1" forward
Drop the axle, and drill the perches on top of the axle forward of the orignial hole by 1" (YES... forward)
Now it's back where it was with stock springs, and when you get crossover later, you can move the axle back to the centered holes, or even drill new ones behind the orignial holes to move it even MORE forward.

Don't know if you have it, but here's some swap information that's very useful from a guy who's name you can figure out.
www.tennessee4x4.com/toyota/spring_swap_info.htm
If you look at the 44044 info and the toy info, you'll notice that the front half of the spring (front to center pin) is the same for both springs. So if you use a standard toy setup with rear shackles and don't move your front hangers, your axle will only be forward because of the spring arch. As the spring compresses, the axle will move rearward.
Thanks yall, that is all great information. I am gonna try it out, I just wanted to make sure that it was somewhat possible. Im not afraid to do some fenagling, I just didnt want to ask for them for my birthday coming up and find out it was impossible to fit...
ryan whit... hey, I was thinking about getting some rear toyotas but I have decided against it. Yes my brotehr does go to UGA. He drives a fourunner as a DD and a yellow jeep that used to be on 35 SSRs, but now is waiting for D60 and 14B rear. His name is J.J. and patooyee on pirate...
He goes to UGA, I go to Auburn, I know I know, envy me:)
Anyway, I wont be needing those rears anymore. Im gonna go with the 44044s, they just sound great and not that expensive. You know that the winner of TTC last year won with 44044s:0 Not that it really matters but I have heard great things about them. Also, then at least Ill have one new thing on my truck:)
Thanks for the offer though, and thanks everyone else for the information.
