When you guys are switching over to 60s/44s from the stock FJ40 axles what width are you running and how much wider is that than stock. Also My friend has a **** Wrangler and that seems to be a pretty good width - do you know how that compares to a FJ40. Thanks

Stock FJ-40 is 57" F and 55" R.

I run 62" wide axles with 3" BS 10" wheels. 14.50 wide tires.

Stock FJ-40 is 57" F and 55" R.

I believe that the front stock width is also 55". Mine have always measured 55 and this is the number given in Mullin's FAQ. The wider measurements may result from mini-truck knuckle swaps.

At any rate, my rear Dana 60HD is 65" wide and I have narrowed the front to 64.5".

The stock wrangler is about 60.5" (about 5 inches wider than your cruiser)

My cruiser rear is 55.1" WTW
My crusier front is 56.5" (1.5" wider than stock cause of the toyota pickup disk brakes I put on it)

How wide you want to go really depends on the kind of terrain that you want to wheel.

I'm going 58" WTW in the rear and 59.5" WTW in the front so I can still fit through the trails here in WA. If I lived in the southwest I'd probably go alot wider.
