just had to share my day:flipoff2:

it was the first dry day in a while so i went to hollister.:D
pulling my cruzah, was my 2wd lowered (4/6 drop) ex cab gmc.
got to hh no prob. got momentum and made the first little hill no prob. if you havnt been there let me try to explain. you pull in the gate, drive on a DIRT road maybe 1 mile, then unload your junk at the campground area. on that road there are a few hills slightly graded but no biggie. the road up these hills is kinda hard packed rack gravle, not slimy mud. driving down this road there is a big runoff area on the right, almost a cliff that drops down maybe 30 ft to a lake af muddy poop. the road comes pretty close to it and a slight grade starts up there, all while slightly vering sp? to the right. on this road next to this big dropoff is all clay and wet mud, i thought it was sandy dry stuff???nope...

i stop before it think twice and then go for it,...bad move...

i first noticed it was slimey im like oh shit....then im almost all the way thru....the ass end of the gmc anf trailer still had to pass the cliff area...the road was graded toward the cliff so that wasnt helping. the rear tires wee slipping and sliding..the trailer kinda started to slide. i stopped didnt move....put it in park e brake...i was about 18" away ...in betwwen was a little rut from tires but ???? too trippy for me.

i then yelled for my little bro age 13 to unstrap the cruzah and strap the trailer to tree....thats cool...now i gatta take the cruzah off at an angle so i dont pull down into the poop. done whhhhhhewwww... now i un hitch the trailer and drive the x cab up the hill. ass im doing that somebody that was helping hooked there 4x4 up to the trailer and pulled it to a dry area. i come back down hitch back up,park,and go wheeling.

so im having a good time screwing around...go thru pinch rock...

somebody fawking pushed over the last rock fawkers:mad:

frame twiser....deep water...big holes between the logs, perfect for 42s. got caught up once, wiched out, got caught up again, fawk winch again,

mini rub...backwards...usually i walk thru without even hitting a dif not caring where i go, this time was differant..got denid getting in, moved over got in. 30 ft in got hung up on difs f/r ..winch..
5 ft more...winch....

bad luck...i let my brother drive the rest of the day...

oh yeah ..good thing is i didnt break anything....knocking on wood...still gatta take it off the trailer tho:(

it was just me and my bro in the cruzah... couldnt flop or anything ......didnt have anybody else with a winch. im still scared of tank trap after last time 7 hours is enough fo a long time..:)

i just had to get out of the shop...;)

Ryan, are you talking about the camp above the obsticle coarse?
I would think Sycamore camp, down below would be a good spot to park the tow rig, but I havent been there for a while. :( At least you got out and did some wheelin.

ill never forget my last trip to HH. my buddy and i both towed there about a year ago. i hadnt been there in ages so as we go though gate and head up. i forgot the road to the obstical course and took a right too soon and ended up doing a green square traile aroun the back side all the way to the course to unload9yes towing the whole time in 4wd and hair pin turns, it was classic coming in the wrong way having done one the trails towing. lol

I am always near the playground. so you can get a little night wheelin in and if you see the ranger, you just gotta drop into Tank Trap and hope you can get out the top!

That pit of poo is pretty knarly and so is the grade next to it. Last time I was there, some guy I knew named BONZI(fag) decided to take is blazer on 38s through, turn around at the drain pipe and drive back. Yea Right, We were there for a lot longer than we planned.

next time you go drop me a PM and maybe Ill cruise up with a few buddies, Im the only one of my friends that doesnt tow...Kinda :rainbow:, but it just makes me look better when I watch them break on the trail and drive my shit home. Ive only broken once, and it was a Birf and driveshaft on the frametwister.

It was when it gets about as soupy as the bog, and on 35 mtrs at 30psi and open diffs, I didnt stand a chance.
