well this weekend i got some tj seats and put them in my yj. it only took about 2 hours and a little bit of welding. i used the stock sliders from a yj, and then just add a steel bar across the bottom that you can see at the second pic. then i just made the bar so that it bolted in the stock location of the yj, and then welded the seat to the bar and bolte part of the seat. you can't see form the pics but half of the bar is welded to the seat and the the other half is bolted.

I done the same thing over a year ago. The problem is the tj seat bases are so thick your legs rub the steering wheel and if you hit a bump hard enough your head will hit the hard top. They feel great but the sit you up way to high. :flipoff2:

Those Prelude seats look fawkin great! I just ordered a set of APC race seats for my CJ. I know APC rings rice, but they look like great seats and the price from Summit was right. The APC seats look a good bit like the Prelude seats.

Glad those Prelude seats worked out for ya', Indy. Look darn good in your rig. I had my original Laredo seats repaired and put them back in the CJ-7, sold the YJ seats that I had in there along with the other seats I had for the Scrambler and picked up two sets of used Mastercrafts off Ebay :D

Yea, they're kick ass.
My only 'issue' with them is that because of the seat design (up by the headrest) that it is so narrow, my shoulder belts don't 'stay'. Kind of sucks.
Other than that, I'm extremely happy. Better than those plastic hi-backs. :D
