Ummm, Where can I find a Dana 44 the width of a fullsize chevy pickup... :flipoff2:

Reread you post man You'll answer your own questions. Depends where you are in the country, your bargaining skills and the demand for them for a price. I'd bet more than a dollar and less than a million :rasta:

Yeah, the wagoneer axles are pretty common and you can set them up with whatever you want for brakes. And they're even wagoneer width...

Thank you karl for a very mature response, unlike these other morons. you answered my question. If I was looking for a full width axle I would have stated that. I don' t know much about the wagoneers and their axles so I was looking for a response from and educated person who might know a thing or two about Jeeps. thanks again.:smokin:

On a side note,

There are two widths to Waggy axles 60 inch wms to wms or 65 wms wms.

If your looking for 60 inch 44s front and rear, the front out of a scout and the rear out of a waggy centered diff I may know where a pair are for sale, with flat top knuckles and all the high steer setup.

sorry to jackass for my first uneducated response  like was stated, if you don't want stupid answers don't ask stupid questions. anyway to wheelingpiazza and the stated quote from above, there is not a 65" waggy 44 front. yes the wide track cherokees may have a front d44 in the 65" ball park but noth the waggys. the waggys had the 61" fronts and 59" rears and the narrow track cherokees were the same. the wide track cherokee had the wider axles. just to clear a few things up. :D

I am still unclear as to what part of my original post was considered a stupid question.

All Wagoneer axles are, by definition, Wagoneer width. They've all had open knuckles since at least the mid '70s or so...

locking hubs, and disk brakes. is there such a thing?

You can put locking hubs on ANY Waggy front axle, they've had disk brakes at least since the mid '70s, and yes--they exist.

if so where can I find one

Pretty much any junkyard

and how much should I expect to pay. Would this have cross over steering? thanks

Anywhere from $50 to $250 depending on year/condition/part of the country you live in. Yes--all Waggys have X-over steering.

You're welcome,

Jake
