I believe you might have to swap the tranny too. Plenty of room in the body. The 4.0 V8 is an awesome conversion for a 3 series. the V12 might fit in there fine, just try to find everything you need to install it, including the pair of ECMs(DME's in BMW speak)wiring, crazy intake manifold stuff etc. A "New" engine from BMW is $26k, and even the factory service literature actually has the spark plug firing order wrong, so you can tell how much BMW cares about thoses engines now...Dealers cant get parts efficiently at all, they need to come from Germany, and dealers wont even work on them, so you would have to go to an independant service location...
