Subtle resolve.
1
Tonight I will be giving a presentation to the Sierra club at Eaton Canyon at 7:30 PM. north of the 10 freeway get off on Alta Dena go north through the intersection of New York, and then make a right into the Eaton Canyon nature center. It is not nec to attend in mass. I'm doing it because although they may not support us, at least I have the oppurtunity to give the facts to those who show up personally. Wish Me luck.NO FEAR :usa:

Mike try to give us more notice on these things...I would have driven the 100 miles in the rain in my topless jeepster just to try to help you convey the facts....
Good luck, and keep us posted..
Thanks,

Thanks Yellowsub for the support. The meeting went very well, I spoke for about twenty minutes then gave a slide presentation, then anwered more questions for about 15 minutes. The crowd was mixed young and old and I did bring my Biologist to answer tricky questions. The tone was good however and I let them know what my concerns with the area are and what process's I suggested to the forest service to address them. I extended an invitation to any of them to come down to the pit with me to see first hand what we do. it has always been my biggest concern that these people watch from the road and make up there minds from there. I will endevour to invite all of you in the future. Your knowledge fills these screens and fills my mind. I will pursue these people for support,( would be nice to have it written) even though I'm smart enough not to hope for it. One thing to note is that they did not know very much at all in regards to OHV use, what we do or why we do it.(how can you appriciate anything you cannot understand?) Which furthers my theory that the old guard OHV and the old guard Greeens have a huge gap between them, and alot of bitter history.( probably very valid) We should not fall into that gap, or else we will truly be lost. Can someone teach me how to make paragraphs ie proper spacing ?

I'm glad they at least seemed open to discussion, thats a lot more than we get 95% of the time. I'm amazed to think this, but maybe their are a few logical people in the SC .... I know we can work with them to make everyone happy, and it seems they may be leaning towards that too. My main concern is that they don't fall victim to their corporate "total closure or we sue attitude"....This is why its important to resolve this at the local level like your working so hard to do...
Keep up the good work and let me and Mike know how the Axle Snappers can help out....
