my Buddy has a 95 TB454 in his Jeep & on the passenger side the header is getting cherry red hot the driver side is normal ? I thought it could be running lean? he said his plugs are BLACK as hell , he said he doesnt think it's running lean , then someone told him that the header on that side might be thinner & can't withstand that much heat, does anyone have a clue what could be going on? If it is Lean how does he fix it on just one side of the motor? gimmie all the info you got !!!
Thanks

Dual exhaust? The pipe may be restricted on that side, too much backpressure?

ya he's got dual exhaust, it's a new exhaust but I guess he could have smashed the pipe somewhere

I'v seen this problem before, it was a glogged converter on that side but any similer restriction would do the same thing I imagine.

had similar problem but on both pipes ....with custom built heades .........solution .......i installed the oriiginal headers back on ......................
but before i cut them and reorientated the exhaus so that i would not touch the frame, and routed the exhaust side by side the chasis by the ouside towards the back of my rig installing the mufflers inside the wheel well since i have full withs there were no clearance issues only ann ocasinal pipe bending and ripping on the rock trails ....
