Yeah, for me :flipoff2: I know Art Carr has them was wondering if someone out there was a little cheaper though.

Steve I had bought a 3.00 Low set for a TH400 and it was from A-1 Automatic Transmission out of Canoga California. The price was $545. I don't know what Art Carr charges but that seems to be the going rate. The number is 818-884-6222

I just called them and they wanted 795.00, did you get a price break or something?

well i originally purchased mine from a-1 for 650 and then when i tore them up a little they charged me 325 to recondition them. And from what i have heard they have went up. They are pretty strong in comparison to any other brand not to mention i believe they are the only ones that low all of the others are like only first gear and its like 2.75:1 or something like that and i grenaded a set of those in like 3 months. If i were gonna purchase another set i would say art carr just cause of customer service would probally be whole lot better.

Hey while your at it get a daul pitch converter too- fip the switch and you got almost a lockup-

Man, maybe I should just get an Art Carr 700R4, with a 3.06 first and overdrive, I really want the strength of the 400 but the high first gear sucks and is expensive as all hell to get a 3.0.

Or you could go with a Raptor 700r4 for $1500 sounds like a tough tranny for a good price.

Jegs shows a TCI Street Fighter tranny on there site witht he 2.75 1st gear for about $1100.... They also show a TH350 w/2.75 first for a little less, but no 3.0 gears alone...
