Ok Guys I got a word about a coworker's buddy who is wanting to sell his Samurai. Here's the details so far (cut and paste):
"Anyway, my 1987 Samurai has some of extras: I put in a centerforce clutch (heavy duty, off road slip it and don't worry about it unit), a triple core radiator, an adjustable camshaft sprocket (to degree in the cam for either top end or low end power), a starter relay kit (to eliminate the traditional Samurai starting problems), and probably some other stuff that I have forgotten about. It has a completely rebuilt 1.6L Sidekick engine with new oil pump, main and rod bearings, pistons, rings, all machine shop work, water pump, rebuilt carb, new thermostat, belts, etc, etc. I also had the transmission bearings and syncros replaced by Dennis Marson at the 4x4 shop (he builds the winning tractor-pull engines for the whackos who race them, a very competent mechanic). All machine shop work was done at Northwest Motor Machine (Ron Kringle is a machinist extraordinaire and the ONLY Toyota approved overhaul facility in the Northwest.) Hmm... New headlights, new wipers (not just the refills), new electric fuel pump, mechanical oil pressure gauge, oh, I don't even want to add up the receipts but I have them. It's a hardtop, the body is very good, as near as I can tell it only has 80k original miles on it. There are a few minor dents. Tires are good, but street oriented. It runs great, and drives good, for a Samurai I guess. I'm asking $1900 for the Sammy, and I am sure I have way more than that into it. Thanks for spreading the info."

I will be getting digipics soon to post up here with it, but you can feel free to give the guy a call if you are interested. :D
