This sounds like a stupid idea, but when I converted to a SFA, I lost the ABS anyway. Now I just have a useless box taking up space in my engine compartment. Would you simply remove the ABS unit? I thought about keeping it because it would be less work, and I would not have to mess around with re-routing brake lines and whatnot. Any advise would be appreciated.

Taking it out isn't going to get you chicks, so don't bother.

Good call. Unless you know what sensors and electronics its wired in with, don't even bother taking it off. Just leave it.

I pulled mine off and replaced it with an older 70's-80's model GM proportioning valve and love it. Brakes are much firmer and got rid of that late model GM mushy pedal. Took me all of an hour to remove and bend/flare new lines and such. I also put in an aftermarket master cylinder since the stock one had a quick take up valve in it which didn't like the ford style calipers, causes excessive wear and such.
