: "All I wanted was a little Jeep"

Now I hate to break in here (I'm a Scout Guy) but my mom is a Jeep Chick and has wanted another CJ7 ever since my little brother Thrashed/Totaled her old one. I found one for $1500 and told her I would build it for her so she could follow Snoopy around on the trails.

"I just want a little jeep for the weekends and an occational drive to work" (She runs the Small Business Divission of a CPA firm and is 55 years old)

"Ya, sure ~ it'll do that." I tell her.

So I told her that we want to go 36" tires and she said "All I wanted was a little jeep"

Chris (my business partner) looks at me and says, "you brought it to the wrong place then".
So, without delay ~ here is my moms 82 CJ7 on 37x12.50 SuperSwampers...
:D  ;)

It has the I6, 4-speed, Dana300, Scout II Dana44s, SOA w/ Reverse Shackle on 2" SkyJacker SoftRides, Extended WheelBase to 97.25", and stuff. Not bad for a jeep if you ask me.

My partner is going to build one now ~ he's going linked, 1/4 elliptic rear, coils front, yadda yadda yadda.

Why do you keep referring to your buddy as your partner? Do you have a business together, or are you just :rainbow: ?

Nice Jeep, man.

Snoopy,
Sweet Jeep! Quick question, with Scout Dana 44's I've always been told the knuckles are way to hard to align with a stock CJ steering setup, did you swap on different knuckles or change the steering setup? or did you get the stock dana 44 knuckles to work? Just curious. Thanks man

...Good question, it is a little weird with the Jeep P-steering box pointing the wrong way (Scout pitman arms point forward).
We may change the steering to our Cross-over system (basic flat-top stuff both sides, spacers, bolt on steering arms with 1.5" DOM link material tubes) then ~ but for now we use our flipsert (relocates the TRE to the bottom of the passenger knuckle) and will custom make a Z-style D-link to hold her over.

The Jeep is going to sit till early Spring (except for drives to work and various trail rides ~ I *need* to test it on Chinamens Gulch) ~ then it'll get 4.56 gears, ARBs and other stuff. Then we'll make the decission to go with the cross-over stuff. But it may be $600 she doesn't have to spend so quick. Who knows ~ we are already up to $3K (not including wheels and tires) and 2 weeks over due on this thing & she is getting antsy to get it back. This job would be much smoother if every bolt wasn't rusted solid. I thought only Scout's rust like this:eek:

Very nice jeep. Especially for 1500 bucks.
