How far can your pinion be out of line with your TC before causing any problems?

This is for a TJ with about 6" of lift and is stock length.
I'm considering a 60 from a 90's model F-350 will this work without cutting the axle down?

The driveshaft doesn't know which way is up or down, so as long as your angles are the same or close to it, you will have no problems. The front isn't as critical as the back unless you are in full time 4WD.

It's not really the same though. Youll end up with two angles the one between the TC / pinion and the one created with up and down travel.

Edit: It's not really two angles but do you understand what I'm trying to say. And I do agree it doesn't seem it would cause a problem but I just want to make sure before I spend any money.

You said it! It is just one angle that is at a 45 instead of a vertical angle. The "horizontal" angles will stay the same at each end, so you really don't need to look at it (as long as it's within reason). The "vertical" angle follows the standard rule - keep each end the same, unless running a c/v.
