Posted this on the newbie section, and no one has answered me yet, and maybe because they do not know either because they are newbies like me. Ok, heres my question.... I am building my Dana60, and I am running the yukon gears (513 ), and I ordered a new yoke, because The axle did not have one when I got it. I have installed my gears, and I am ready to put my yoke on, but I have noticed that there is no washer to seperate the nut from the yoke .. Is this normal, or should I get a washer to put on the inside of the yoke before I tighten the nut that holds it on. Or is there not susposed to be a washer ? Thanks for any help..

If your pinion nut does not have a washer built onto it, it needs one.

A new nut and washer come with an install kit. You DID use new bearings, seals and shims, didn't you?

Usu***y the pinion nut is oval shaped at the top, so it locks itself on.

I used Yukon gears , and yes , a new nut was supplied, but there was no washer.. I went to a hardware store and got one, and finished it all up, and so far, all is good. And yes, I bought the master install kit with all the new bearings , seals and shims. Thanks for all the help.
