It is easy and should be cheap to replace. It's worth a try. Toywagon 01-05-2002, 08:16 AM Chase the wire from the sender back thru the engine compartment. If its rubbed thru the insolation, and any part of the bare wire reaches ground, your guage will do what you mentioned as well. Sometimes guages just go bad, but I would check the wire and sender before ripping into the dash. Jim mud-magnet 01-05-2002, 05:33 PM well i'll check the wire thing tomorow...... we took the sending unit out and replaced it with the one from the "donor zuki" which was my last off-roader before i got my "new" one...... i was talking to the machanic(sp) up my road today(while he was welding my SPOA pads on my zuki, see i'm a big boy now....i'll post pics tomorow) and well he said he had that problem with his truck and it was the guage so it'll be back to taking more stuff off the donor zuki....... well anyone else have this problem, its not fixed yet....... i'll post here if i get it working..... -Mike | |
