: Steering Wheel Hub Issues

Got an early 1962 FJ40 and am in the process of trying to put on an after market steering wheel. The problem I am having is I can't find a hub for anything earlier than a 72.
I really want to get rid of the huge stock steering wheel and go with something more managable.
Anyone know of a kit that would work, or where to get one?
Any suggestions???

I've heard of three guys that cut off the spkes from the original wheel and turned the metal center down on a lathe to use as the adapter, with good results.
