jon84cj 03-09-2004, 01:34 PM Would like to see pictures... Thanks.
Grim Reaper 03-09-2004, 02:09 PM 16 feet with the dove tail or is this just 16 feet of flat deck and 2 ft of dove tail for a total of 18feet?
How wide is the deck?
What is it rated for weight?
sas92toy 03-10-2004, 05:06 AM The trailer is rated for 7000# and I'm not sure what the deck width is...I'll have to measure it tonight and post the size tomorrow. Just for reference, my straight axle toyota with 2" backspacing 15x8 wheels and 37"x 12.50" MTR'S fits on it with 6-8" left on each side. I want to say that it's around 7' wide. The length is overall 16' including the dovetail.
Grim Reaper 03-10-2004, 07:49 AM Hmmmm Yeah get a width. I was looking for a 18 but this might work if it has enough tounge.
Check with the Mistress of finance and see if I can have some money. :D
You sure it's a 2 inch ball? That weight rating I would think it need a 2 5/16 ball. Finding a 7k 2 inch ball is not easy.
sas92toy 03-10-2004, 08:34 AM I am 100% positive that it's a 2" ball. I have no problem whatsoever with the hitch ball that I use. Unless the diameter of the ball shank is what dictates the load capacity of the ball itself, then I don't know what would be the difference. If I think about it I will check the ball on my truck at lunch today just so I know. I will also check the width on the trailer this evening.
DBrown2 03-10-2004, 11:12 AM Are you still selling your Yota?
Pm me if so.
MudAddict 03-10-2004, 04:49 PM Post some pics if you can, or email them to me at extremenick@yahoo.com if you can.
Thanks. :)
sas92toy 03-11-2004, 04:41 AM The deck width inside the fenders is 83.5", just shy of 7'.
MudAddict 03-11-2004, 05:16 AM Thanks for the pics, just looked 'em over. Is the tool box and rims included in the sale, if so what size and lug are the rims?
sas92toy 03-11-2004, 05:47 AM Well the tool box can stay on it, but it is damaged...I turned too sharply with the trailer behind my truck and the bumper came in contact with the tool box and screwed it up. The wheels go with the toyota that I am selling.
DBrown2 03-11-2004, 10:41 AM Whats the status, on your Yota, you didnt answer???
sas92toy 03-11-2004, 11:45 AM I sent you an email yesterday about my truck....I am still trying to sell it. I have someone very interested in it that will buy it Saturday if I can get something done about the wobble in the steering around 30 mph. He seems to think that a professional alignment will solve the problem...I certainly hope so because I do need to sell it. Ofcourse, 37" mud tires on beadlock rims, with a solid axle swap and home-made steering probably all have something to do with it. If you're interested I want $7000 for it.
morpheus 03-11-2004, 02:10 PM could you email me the pics ...
thanks.
MudAddict 03-11-2004, 06:03 PM On your Yota, if you're getting a wobble around 30 mph, it sounds more like a tire and rim problem, than alignment. Being that the tires are on beadlocks, the buyer ought to know that they won't balance out like regular rims, though you can balance them somewhat and get them close. Also, since you added custom steering, you may need a better steering stabilizer or an additional one. I just hate to see you drop $50 on an alignment, when that really doesn't sound like the problem. Trust me, I wasted a lot of money on my K5 on 38 Ghawgs trying to fix the same problem, but finally got it almost perfect. The way I did it was rotating the tires, balancing them perfectly, adding a dual steer. stabilizer, and lengthened steering parts. Good Luck on what ever you end up doing though, I know you frustration. ;)
sas92toy 03-12-2004, 04:45 AM Well, I don't have a steering stabilizer and I do not intend on putting one on there. IF a potential buyer wants one they can put one on or pay me to. I have also told him about the difficulty or impossibility of balancing beadlock wheels. The truck had the wobble before I changed the wheels, and it has never been professionally aligned, but close. I also had some steering work done on it a while back by some people who didn't really know what they were doing. Following that I did not have it realigned. I realize that there are several factors contributing to this wobble, I just hope that the alignment makes it better.
Thanks for your input, though!
morpheus 03-12-2004, 05:42 AM is the trailer already sold ? if not, could I see the pics of it ?
sas92toy 03-12-2004, 06:50 AM I sent you three pics of it...let me know when you get them.
DBrown2 03-12-2004, 09:10 AM I finally figured out the deal, that email address is jacked up.
Send photos, to DBrown2vol@yahoo.com, My truck is going to maybe also sale Sat, and I will be needing another.
I am up around Chattanooga.
And on the Wobble, AHHHHHHH, it's SAS, with Beadlocks, it isnt a 2004 Caddy.
Inside pics would be good, also any spares, that may come with it.
jon84cj 03-13-2004, 07:23 AM How flexible are you on the price of the trailer?? I am moving to NJ and need to tote my Jeep along, then could be useful in the future. Very low on funds with the move coming but let me know. I am in Greenville, SC now...
sas92toy 03-13-2004, 10:05 AM I want $1000 for it. It is well worth that. If you research these trailers you will find that out. Did I send you pics of it last week because I do remember your email?
Thanks,
Brady Essary
