Will a 3f head and EFI intake manifold bolt onto a 2F motor? I have given up on the Isuzu 4bgit diesels(people want way to much money for them) and I'd rather fuel inject the a built 2F motor than pay $3500 for a diesel of unknown history.
I am interested in the multiport injection manifold from a 3F because it has much better fuel/air distribution than the stock manifold with a TBI on it.
Anyone have any thoughts here?
Does the 3F manifold bolt to the 2F head?
If the 3F manifold will bolt to a 2F head directly, I might have it modified for injectors so the head is not a huge issue...
Is there an aftermarket turbo for a 3F?
Lastly, does anyone have a 3F intake manifold?
Thanks!!!

i have heard that you can bolt a 3 f head on a 2f and raise the compression plus f.i. i remember this because i have a 3 f motor i offered to nolen about 6 months ago for some tires and some one chimed in on the swap. said it was the best of both the 3f and 2f. but i don't know anymore than i have stated. by monday this thread will get plenty of hits. later mike

Running a 3F head on a 2F block is common in Venezuela, the combination is known as a "2F plus"; that said, bear in mind that all 3F's in Venezuela are carburated.
A buddy of mine runs a built 2F with a 3F head and the carburator from a 1FZ engine in an FJ60 with similar dimensions to mine, same gearing, and I was VERY impressed, the power difference was substantial.
I would look into other fuel injection alternatives...

IMHO that is the Best way to add fuel injection to an early Landcruiser. However getting all of the wiring straight is a bit on the tough side. Will it bolt up. Yep. Sure will. BUt you better get everything and I mean everything off of the 3F smog stuff wires etc....
Have fun!!!

I looked at this as well about a year and a half ago and got turned of by all the wiring and my inability to find the stock ECU. It never went much farther than that I'm afraid but I do believe I have found a way to solve the fueling problems and stay the multi port injection. A programmable fuel computer which will make the swap a heck of a lot easier if you run HEI on your 2F:

Give it a whirl, it's reasonably cheap if you know how to solder as these fueling computers go for $800 +.

Thanks for the info! I plan on using the Toyota 3fe intake manifold and head with a domestic(GM) throttle body and other domestic(GM) EFI parts to ease costs and tunability issues. Also, a turbo may be in the future if the system is tunable enough to accomodate it...
Thanks to everyone for the help!!!
