Ok, I've got a FJ-40 rearend (not sure the year), but it was coverted to a centered diff, disk brakes, and 30 spline alloy shafts.

The axle has a 6on5.5 bolt patter, and I need
a 5 on 4.5" pattern. Is it possible to convert it or get an adapter???

Sorry, no pics yet. My brother knows this guys really well, he may be on this board, his name is Nolan.
But it is a custom axle so it does exist.

So do you guys think its possiable to change the bolt pattern, or should I go with a D44 or something else

Uh, that would be my axle.

It is a Newfield Centered rear axle. Mini Truck 30 spline axles with all new bearings and seals.

Disc brakes (Monte Carlo calipers)

I have had it on my Cruiser since July.

I am taking it off this week b/c my RC D60 is ready <IMG SRC="smilies/bounce2.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/bounce.gif" border="0">

I do not know how to go from 6 on 5.5 to 5 on 4.5

performancewheel.com make nice spacers, however, you can not change patters with them.

I doubt this will work if you are planning on running stock wheels.

So you are getting Nolen's old rear axle. This is the one he had made to work with the center rear output Atlas that he got.
It should have only about 5 runs or so on it.
As for running a different bolt pattern it should be easy to have the flange redrilled. Or you could always get an adapter from the six lug to a 5 lug... They are not that expensive and would give you a wider stance...

Or he could get a Scout 44 from Pick N Pull for $100 and be done with it. <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

I think Lances idea is the least expensive, yet you are going to still have bolt problems. No Pick and pull D44 is going to be 5 on 4.5

My bad. I thought I read 5 on 5.5. <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> Well some mid 80's Cherokee's have 5 on 4.5 D44 rear ends. And so to Commanche's. A little harder to find, but they're out there.
