http://www.systemslogic.com/projectcrawler/hosekit/hoses2.jpg
I think that if you consider that a modification, then your gay:)
That is a spruce up! No different than painting a rainbow flag on your hood and calling it a modification...
I would be prepared to get flamed:)
Good luck...
bigair 01-05-2002, 07:53 PM i hope your not serious.

Chris Geiger 01-05-2002, 08:12 PM I hear ORC is looking for product reviews!
Arnold 01-05-2002, 08:18 PM So, did you notice a difference in HP?:D
ryanwhit 01-05-2002, 08:45 PM Those are sweet!! Where can i get some? Can i get all of the hoses in my engine compartment like that? That has to add a ton of horsepower and torque. SWEET!
:rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow::flipoff2:
Highlander 01-05-2002, 08:52 PM          :flipoff2:
ianbike 01-05-2002, 09:07 PM Well damn, I guess we'll all get beaten by him come race day... I think I'll go get a Trd Decal, some pedal covers, and some of those clear tail lights, only then will I get the 20 hp needed to keep up.
ROKTOY 01-05-2002, 09:57 PM The silicon hose is much more slippery than the plain rubber so the vacuum molecules can traverse the hose length while expending less energy. All that conserved energy goes straight to the rear tires!

Is someone going to post a how to tech article in the tech section????????

Greg@RME 01-05-2002, 10:31 PM projectcrawler-
You just better delete this post and save yourself the embarrassment! And don't post for about 3 months so everyone will forget this.
:rainbow: :rainbow: :emb4: :barf: :barf:
TheNerple 01-05-2002, 10:56 PM Hey, where'd ya get them purdy hoses? Think they would look good in my buggy? Seriously, I think there is something to be learned from everything we do. Next time, spend the the money on a header or something you are really gunna see a difference with. When there's a REAL difference, other than asthetics, then call it a mod and post some pics! Better luck next time, and welcome to the pirate board!

Vacuum molecules???? :laughing::laughing::laughing:
Overall, I'd have to say the "mod" is pretty :rainbow:
Damn riceboys............
Im4yotas 01-06-2002, 12:19 AM That would definately be my next mod if I could afford it. But I'm gonna have to get a can of Krylon and do a fake job. I should at least get half the horses, right? Then I'll make up for the rest of the power with some new stickers and chrome goodies:flipoff2: :flipoff2:
Are those bad boys ARCA legal? Or even street legal? Can't be for how much power improves:D
Of course, that will all have to wait until I install my new neon under body lights, like in Fast and the Furious (you know, rock lights).
Lowtorious 01-06-2002, 12:47 AM The trick is to looking like you're going faster than you really are, I heard fender flares and fake spin off hubs work pretty damn well.
-Andy
Wilson 01-06-2002, 02:12 AM Well, he's been bashed a bunch, so I'll leave him alone. the local low riders were checking out my rock lights as I drove through downtown with them on this weekend, pretty funny. I had to do it!
Im4yotas 01-06-2002, 12:58 PM A friend of mine has a Maxima, which he claims is pretty fast. So I asked him if he was going to thr races with it, and get this.............................................. ..........he said it didn't look fast enough yet:barf:
projectcrawler 01-06-2002, 02:05 PM Nice to see that "some people" have a sense of humor.

Go get your stuff then pick a time and a place baby. Sorry but those attending must have at least two pieces of chrome "spruce up" for every foot of wheelbase.

Yeah I know the hoses aren't that great of a mod, I'm waiting until my my chrome rolbar with velvet crush cover is done being installed at the shop. I'll post it up as soon as its done.
ErikB 01-06-2002, 02:25 PM Dood, those look wicked awesome in that nice dirty engine bay! LOL
http://www.systemslogic.com/projectcrawler/hosekit/hoses2.jpg
Im4yotas 01-06-2002, 02:29 PM You call that a dirty engine bay? Wonder what you would call mine?
ErikB 01-06-2002, 02:58 PM Not that dirty, but dirty enough to make me really wonder why he went to the trouble of buying and installing fancy shmancy vac lines and taking picutres of it...?
Just makes them look that much more ridiculous... IMHO. :p

Being that I am the first Toyota 4runner officially sponsered by HoseTechniques, I have been working in conjunction with them on a camo kit suited to the rigors of offroading. Not only will it provide sliky vacumn molecule transfer, but also in case of emergency can be tied together as a makeshift winch cable.
Man i cant beleive you even put that down as a mod on your web site that is just not a mod that is just:rainbow: :rainbow: :rainbow: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
mudtruck44 01-06-2002, 05:28 PM I thought you were joking about the hosetechniques.com thing. Try this one-

Seabass44 what's the 900 number to your psychic network?
Truth be told, I had some leftover hosing when I did my Supra Turbo, since the hosing had become like KFC's crispy style. :nuke:

WTF:question:
talk about a third leg!!
NE-wayz, back to the real content. When are they going to get those hoses in mud color? I can't stand it when it rains and I lose that sweet looking coating of muck. And no matter how hard I try, sometimes I just can't get to a mud pit soon enough:(
2FNLOW 01-07-2002, 07:43 AM :usa:
Hey, we all have to start somewhere so you won't hear anything from me.
Few things I noticed though you might want to look at under there:
I didn't notice a battery tie down like the Toyota ones so if you don't have one
on there it is worth buying on, that way you never have to worry about the
battery being welded to the underside of your hood while wheeling.
Also you might want to drill a couple holes and screw down the fuse box for
stereo you have there. It looks like it is loose and will probably flop around while
wheeling and might break it.
The ground strap on the rear of the engine that goes to the fire wall looks
taunt. You may want to either reroute it for some slack or lengthen it. If you rock
the engine enough you can break that wire.
If you want to show under the hood, degrease the compartment and then
wash it. After it dries spray Armor All or another Rubber dressing solvent
all over the hoses and such. Wipe to get ultimate shine
When I used to recon cars, we used to spray the tire dressing under the hood
and the hoses looked new and made everything look great.
Good luck with you rig!

MattS 01-07-2002, 03:15 PM Thanks for the link!! I have been wondering where I was going to get the hoses to finish my turbo 4.3 install. Now I know. I can be bling bling like the other 2 guys here. I like the silver!! sweet.
All the rest of you. Take two, they're small. :flipoff2:

colech 01-11-2002, 09:34 AM Uhhhh.... right! So anyway....
I got the yellow Hose Techniques kit for my Supra engine in my 4Runner. Flame ON!
Seriously, if you have the engine that needs new hose, why not upgrade while the engine is out? The kit comes with everything you need. No vacuum leaks for me.

Im4yotas 01-13-2002, 07:17 PM Hey, Karl
How's the Supra swap going? Haven't seen any "Supra Swap update..." posts for a while.
