I know this isn't much tech, more of a bling bling type of question. Anyone have prior experience with billet grille inserts? Thinking of getting one for my DD 96 Runner and have never dealt with the inserts. I have heard from some that they are difficult to install and others say they are cake. What has your experience been? TIA

Yep put one in my chevy, it was cake all you need is a hack saw blade and a screw driver you have to cut out the inside of your existing grill put some clips on the out side edges then put the insert in with a couple screws. It takes about 15 or so minutes.

Pic didn't load up unfortunately. So the billet grill includes clips to secure it to the rest of the grill? Sounds easy enough. However is there anyone out there who has had problems installing one and if so, what was the problem? Thanks by the way guys for your input

Actually, 22's:flipoff2: I think billet grilles look clean on a DD, I still use my rig for its purpose, camping, mild trails, fishing etc so I think the 20's can be saved for another hoser. I'm 100% positive that the grille insert I would purchase requires some cutting of the factory grille
