I need some help, I was going through and redoing my ignition system and ran into some problems. I admit, I am not the most knowledable about the whole system, and my buddy that helped is even worse. With that out of the way, HELP!
I replaced everything, marked the plug wire locations on the cap, then proceded to clock the wires off one postion (I could tell because the timing is off 60 degrees) I got it to ran, but it wasn't right. I then made some changes, removed the distributor, checked things out and now it won't fire. I believe that it is all timing, it has a healthy spark, good fuel, I lined up what I believe is #1 cylinder to the rotor...
Basically is it possilble to put the distributor in 180 degrees out?
What is the bolt (14mm head) for that is below the cam type mechanism that is used for (fine) timing adjustment. My truck is dead!
