damn straight. these trucks are great right out of the factory even with stock gearing and some bigger tires. for the manuals, great 1st gear 4lo crawl ratio.
Matt is the primary reason why we are seeing more and more SAS and lifted. He's the influence for my serious interest in my current rig. hell, if it were'nt for the independent4x site, i would have already sold the damn troop and had a toyota pickup or some shit, bobbed and locked w/ 35's, or even a jeep. who would of thought a trooper could stack up with the rest? it's an ADDICTION man, once you see the potential, you just gotta build one yourself. it is just a frame and body anyways.

Yeah I would have to agree, Troopers are sweet little rigs straight out of the factory. With a little modification they can become very capable. I think if they got a little more publicity they could easily become the next thing to wheel with just like toyotas and suzukis have in the past. I think people like TrooperRS that help push the Isuzu name and show what these rigs can do are what we need to get the aftermarket support. I can also say I would never have started the SAS or even kept my trooper around for wheeling if I hadn't found independent4x.

I will be doing an SAS on my 94 trooper sometime in the future.
But I am not going to attempt the swap untill I can do it right.
I plan on using a 3 or 4 - link with OME coils.

Some dude up here on Vancouver Island is starting a SAS on a 2nd gen... not sure what year though.
Arent the 2nd gens bigger width-wise than the 1st? I like the narrow(ish) body on mine for the tight trails up here, and am now toying with the idea of dove-tailing the rear to get it even narrower:flipoff2:
