hey guy's i'm in the planing stages of my sas. on my first gen troop. it would be cool to have an entire thread of sas pics, of any isuzu's. and I think this could help alot of people doing sas's. anything from spring under to spring over axle setup's. so post away guy's, show us your sas isuzu!!:D

Thats a good idea, i have noticed that there are a lot of sas's going on here around 5 or so, myself included. i would post pics but they are in the post right below this one..... but i will add more as the swap progresses.

so what are the specs?

I think it would be a good idea to have a thread of all the SAS isuzus out there...kinda like an FAQ for all those who are starting a project and want ideas and suggestions. I know there is all ready alot of stuff about SAS here on the board but most people are too lazy to search. We could include common information about yota and D44 axles, springs, frame extensions, and all the stuff that people always ask....i just know that because I was one of those people. BTW my SAS is just a couple threads below this but I'll put up more pics when i get farther along.

yeah we need a general FAQ and an SAS FAQ

hmm...i got nothin better to do, so I'll try to gather up a bunch of general shit and we'll get it rollin here soon

before:yota axles,steering(push/pull...sucked),toy front shaft adapted to luv case, spring over in the back, yota negative arch front springs(free),durango rear shocks on the front(free),body lift by PO, in that pic above i had $600 into it. it worked quite well in that configuration...those motors were marginal brand new sooo.

phase two in progress:4.3 chevy,700r4,divorced dual toy cases,d60 dually front full width,d70 rear,4.56 gears,38"swampers on hummer wheels, full hydro steering, radius arm front suspension with RE joints, fox air shocks on the front and chevy 63"ers in the back...this phase is taking WAAAAY to long and with the bum knee it will be awhile before i get this thing together. full exo is planned. i'm a little further along than this pic.

Don't mind me..... just taking it upon myself to post pics without the owners' permission:p

Here is randii's 1st gen Amigo....... quite possibly the first SAS Amigo ever. IIRC, Toyota axle up front w/ ARB's front and rear, used to be toyota tranny with 270:1 crawl ratio, currently "working" on 5.0 motor swap

Michael W's 2nd gen Amigo (BellyDragger on here). D60 front, D70 rear, 370:1 crawl ratio, ARB's f/r, etc...

Still have to get my hands on a T100L Nissan mid 80s divorced xfer case, so I can complete front drive shaft.

Just finished hybrid pitman arm with Curtis' help. cut out doughnut of zoo pitman and pressed and welded into base of longer Cherokee pitman arm.

looks AWESOME!!!

I remember when i first saw that thing on cardomain way back before you chopped the top and it still had IFS. bet that thing is a killer trail rig, plus with the chopped top, you've got rid of alot of top heavyness

mine... runs, drives and is my DD (need another DD :flipoff2:). also, just finished doing a transmission, brand new heavy duty clutch, new starter, new slave cylinder. still modifying it here and there for trail use, removing leaves to lower lift in front, get more flex, soon putting 36's on.
